Private alpha · version 0.1
Terms of Use
These terms govern participation in FanForge’s invitation-only private alpha. By creating an alpha account, you agree to them.
Who operates FanForge
FanForge is currently operated for the private alpha by Javan Buchanan. Contact forgemaster@joinfanforge.com with questions. Final jurisdiction wording remains subject to qualified legal review before broader launch.
Eligibility and alpha access
Access is personal, invitation-only and may not be transferred. Private-alpha participation is restricted to people aged 18 or over. Alpha access does not create membership of any Forge; Forge access depends on a separate invitation or approved role.
Your account
Provide accurate information, protect your password and invitation links, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account where reasonably attributable to your actions. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, permissions or private Forge boundaries.
Your work and permissions
You retain the rights you hold in work you add to FanForge. You grant FanForge a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process, display and transmit that work only as needed to operate, secure and support the service and carry out publishing choices you make. You must have permission to upload and collaborate on the material you add. Do not assume another collaborator’s contribution may be reused outside the Forge merely because you can access it.
Collaboration and attribution
FanForge records contributions, reviews, decisions and attribution as durable project history. Do not misrepresent authorship, remove another creator’s credit, falsify approvals or use the product to claim rights you do not hold. Project Leads and contributors remain responsible for agreeing ownership, payment and exploitation rights outside FanForge.
Private and public material
Treat private Forge material and collaborator information as confidential unless the person entitled to decide has authorised disclosure. Publishing a Forge exposes only the approved public projection; it is not permission to reveal private workspace content. Follow the Acceptable Use policy and Community Guidelines.
Pre-release service
The alpha may contain defects, change without notice or experience interruptions. Features may be withdrawn, and no uptime or long-term availability commitment is made. Keep independent copies of important work. The Private Alpha Notice forms part of these terms.
Feedback
You may choose to send feedback about FanForge. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, feedback is not confidential and FanForge may use it to improve the product without creating an obligation to implement it or pay compensation. This does not transfer ownership of creative work attached to a Forge.
Suspension and leaving the alpha
FanForge may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to protect people, creative work or the service; investigate a breach; comply with law; or close the alpha. You may ask to close your account through Support. Closure does not automatically erase records that must remain to protect collaborators, attribution, security or legal rights.
Responsibility and limitations
The alpha is provided on an “as available” basis for evaluation and creative collaboration. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no promise is made that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable as the sole repository for important work. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Final liability, governing-law and dispute wording requires qualified legal review before commercial or broader public release.
Changes
These terms are versioned. Material changes will be identified and may require a new acknowledgement before continued use.
